Classroom
Classroom instruction is on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. once each month (see Training Calendar). The building will be open at 8:30 a.m. You may need a jacket in the classroom.
Classroom instruction consists of, but is not limited to: Primary weapon types, mechanical operations of weapons, ammunition, safety and storage practices, legal aspect of Concealed Carry, non-violent conflict resolution, survival stress and mentality, use of force and use of deadly force.
Cost of the CHL course is $115.00 and includes passport photos, Notary if needed, and range fees.
Dress: "Casual" clothing is acceptable; exceptions in classroom and on range... NO - Tee shirts with offensive slogans or ads, halter tops, crop tops or midriffs, tobacco products, weapons allowed in classroom.
Students will be responsible for any medical conditions that may arise during training.
At no time will any student be allowed to attend training if intoxicated or with the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his/her breath or person.
Range
All range work is done on the Sunday following the classroom part of the course and usually begins at 1:00 p.m. depending upon range availability.
Only students and instructor(s) are allowed on the range. Others may come to the range to watch, but must remain in designated areas. Dogs are not allowed on the range.
Ammunition must be factory new or factory re-manufactured. Hand loaded ammunication cannot be used. I do not allow Russian made "Wolf" brand ammunition to be used in my handguns. If you do not own a handgun or cannot borrow one, a handgun and ammunition (one box of 50) can be rented for this class for a fee of $20.00.
Range procedures will be discussed in the classroom as well as driving directions to the specified range.
