Top Gun Firearms Training
New Shooter's Course

This course is designed for those with little or no shooting experience; especially with the handgun.  In order to do more one on one training, the class is limited to six students.

It is done in two parts, usually totaling about six hours.

The first part is classroom only, where the shooter, with inert training ammunition, learns the mechanics of the handgun; such as loading, unloading, cleaning, grip, stance, sighting, breathing, trigger control, follow through and the relationship of the handgun with the hands, arms and upper body.  2 to 3 hours in length.

The second part is actual live fire on the range.  I start most new shooters with a .22 caliber handgun to learn proper trigger control and we work up slowly to larger calibers.

Shooters handle a variety of handguns, including revolvers.
